Haiku

I was recently writing haiku-after a long time. First I made up one about Pakistan(that wasn't too good:( ) Then I created another one. This one was far better. :) I liked it very much XD so I decided to share it here because a haiku is short and doesn't take long to type. :D


 A cozy morning

 Sunshine floods the room,
A newspaper, cup of tea,
The austere beauty

    This haiku is beautiful! It's so vivid, I can picture it so well. I love how you rhymed tea and beauty. :D Have you ever tried writing a tanka?

      No, I've never tried one. It's a longer version of a haiku, right? Can you tell me how to write one?

      Btw, a haiku is so short, and you have to throw in all your feelings about a topic plus maintain the syllable count, so it can be barely much descriptive. Maybe a tanka would be easier to write.

      Yeah, I think it goes 5,7,5,7,7 instead of 5,7,5. That's about it.

      You're right! But you've fulfilled that perfectly here! I'd love to see you write a tanka though. :D
