Blue
Blue is the color of bright blue Ink,
Of the water in the sink,
Of some eyes that wink,
And of an Underlined link.
Blue is the color of a ballpoint pen,
Of some shirts of men,
Of the deep ocean,
And of the Sapphire Gem.
Blue is the color of some eyes that stare,
Of the sea, so clear,
Of my computer chair,
And of Jeans that I wear.
Blue is the color of a freshly-hurt bruise,
Of the Titanic Cruise,
Of my brother's new shoes,
And of the character, 'Blue's Clues'.
Blue is the color of some whales that sing,
Of some butterfly's wings,
And of many other things.
Woah, you're really blossoming in poetry writing, Zainab! :O I love it! <3 I love the way you've rhymed all four lines in each verse; genius! :D Keep up the good work! (I don't know why, but Blue's Clues rings a bell in my mind... XD What is it again?)
ReplyDeleteThanks! :P
DeleteBlue's Clues is a cartoon for little kids. And about the four lines rhyming, well, in the second verse, the last line took pretty long to write. And I finally got the "Sapphire Gem", thanks to you, else I'd have been stuck there for quite a long time!
You're totally welcome! Omg, yes, of course! I just searched it up. I remember it now! I used to really like it when I was younger. I even had a book of it. XD Oh! How did I give you the Sapphire Gem one? XD
DeleteWas it the short prose about Sapphira?
DeleteSounds beautiful. I am proud of you Zainab.
ReplyDeleteThanks!!!
DeleteA really lovely poem. I really like the rhyme pattern and the blue things you've chosen! Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteThanks! The poem took a long time to write and I am glad you like it!
