Two things that visitors to Pakistan find interesting
A descriptive essay. I thoroughly enjoyed myself writing and editing it!
Pakistan is well known for its exotic cuisines, which most
visitors find spicy yet extremely delicious. Flavoured with unique, bittersweet
herbs and spices, and garnished with richly aromatic ghee, with brilliant hot
chillies mixed in, the food is, undoubtedly, mouth-watering. From the tender, juicy kebabs, to steaming
biryani topped with raita and colourful vegetable curries, the food can be
described as merely tantalizing. Even the soft, crisp flatbreads, the naans and the chapattis, garnished deliciously with butter or sesame seeds, are
delicious.
Visitors, and even natives, are tempted with the sights and
smells outside a small local restaurant or dhabas.
Chicken being roasted on huge, wavering fires, and Haleem being stirred vigorously
in huge cauldrons, with wonderful aromas drifting in all directions. Hence
people are magnetically drawn towards the restaurants and end up having a scrumptious
dinner and a full stomach.
Subcontinental cuisines are extremely delectable and come in
an array of varieties, there are legumes, vegetables, meat and grains of different
sorts all of which are delightfully delicious.
One other thing that visitors to Pakistan admire is our
textile. Even Indians claim that our fabric and clothes have no match for
theirs.
It is true, whether it be formal clothing or casual dresses,
in urban areas of Pakistan there are huge varieties available in different
prices. Materials vary from the ever famous lawn to exquisite banarsi and shiny jamawar, which come in eyecatching shades of Mauve, Yellow, Crimson
and Indigo.
There are always some
new sophisticated fashions in, and brands are seen adopting the new ‘in’ style.
With tinted glass beads strung on,
fashioned with glittery ribbons and decorated with beautiful motifs featuring flowers
or traditional kairis.
In busier areas of the country, there are
always some sales on or collections in, and billboards of staggering sizes are
dedicated to advertise for them. Ultimately, stores remain packed with
people(especially those of the fairer sex) buying the pretty dresses. In
summers stores have huge varieties of lawn available, in pastel shades of
cream, peach, lavender, teal and rose. Whereas in wintertime stores have new
collections of Khaddar, Linen, and Cambric available in dark and striking
colours.
Wandering around a traditional marketplace, you will see
vendors sitting with small stocks of embroidered kurtis in dominating colours. Some are selling stitched trousers,
jeans or tights, others sell elegant dupattas,
shawls, and scarves in cute prints. These men earn by doing small businesses on
wooden pushcarts or by selling their ware on rusty stands on the chipped
footpaths.
This is Pakistan, the country of palatable cuisines and
beautiful textiles.
Ahh this is making me hungry. XD These descriptions are golden! They're so picturesque, I can picture the whole thing! :D Gosh, the clothes you have there sound beautiful! I really want to visit Pakistan one day! :D Keep writing more essays like this!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It is undoubtedly a good quality of this essay that it can make one hungry! XD :P
DeleteBtw, If you visit Pakistan someday, I'm sure you would enjoy! :D
You're so welcome! Indeed. XD I'm sure I will! I heard that you have better technology in Karachi nowadays than we do in the UK. :D (If someone ever tells you the UK is like heaven, don'T believe them because that's so wrong. I'd love it if the UK were as colourful as Pakistan, but alas it's just grey and polluted. You're so lucky to have such a beautiful country! XD)
