A silly little poem
I wrote this a few days back when I couldn't write anything but really wanted to.
I stare at the blank paper,
And wonder what to write.
I know this will fill soon,
And will be gray, no longer white.
What will fill these empty lines,
What will I write here?
What will kill the emptiness
of the blank paper's stare?
I hope I write something soon,
Just to fill the pages,
I really hope to write soon,
'Cause I haven't written for ages!
I stare at the blank paper,
And wonder what to write.
I know this will fill soon,
And will be gray, no longer white.
What will fill these empty lines,
What will I write here?
What will kill the emptiness
of the blank paper's stare?
I hope I write something soon,
Just to fill the pages,
I really hope to write soon,
'Cause I haven't written for ages!
Interesting poem! I enjoyed reading it and I like the idea behind it. :) In the third line of the poem, you've written 'son' instead of 'soon', I think. Please edit it and make it 'soon'.
ReplyDeleteAlso, the new format of your blog is awesome!
Thanks! I have. :)
DeleteThis poem illustrates the enormous power of a paper to engage a writer even when she does not have something in her mind to write. Beautiful !
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThat poem shows your eagerness and willingness to write and draw!!!
ReplyDeleteNo paper would remain empty in front of you, Zainab.
You would soon fill it with your words or pictures:)
By the way I don't found it silly:)
